His last assignment was Chief Executive Officer in Hascol Petroleum Limited (HPL). He is currently Advisor to Fossil Energy Pvt. Ltd which is an emerging Oil Marketing Company. Academically, Mr. Saleem Butt is a Chartered Accountant. He was awarded an Associate membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan further obtaining a Fellow membership in 2004.
